Commonly known as "Cal", the University of California at Berkley is where the Golden Bears play football. The Sporting News has named California Memorial Stadium as one of the Top 40 college football stadiums in the country.
In 2006 the stadium was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and currently seats 75,662.

The Cal Golden Bears are coming off of a very dissapointing 2007 season, but hope to rebound in 2008. A very tough PAC-10 schedule, and the rising of Arizona St. could stand in the Bears way.
Many memorable moments have happened at Berkley's Memorial Stadium. But none have been stood out so much as "The Play", where the Golden Bears returned a kickoff for a touchdown with virtually no time on the clock. The return included 5 laterals and a tuba player from the rival Stanford band being run over in the endzone.
