Rising Prices for New York Giants Tickets
The venue that hosts the Giants' home games is Giants Stadium (also called The Meadowlands). It has the dubious honor of being the resting place of Jimmy Hoffa, a story built on speculation and inspired by urban legend. The Meadowlands was built in 1972 and is scheduled to be retired in 2010. At that time, the New Meadowlands Stadium will open. However, with a construction cost exceeding $1.3 billion, NY Giants tickets prices are expected to increase. The Giants currently sell out many of their games in their current venue. If you're planning to experience a live event, plan to purchase your tickets ahead of time.

NY Giants Tickets - At The Dawn Of Football
The New York Giants were founded in 1925, long before most of the existing NFL franchises. Back then, many fans approached professional football warily. They had grown accustomed to the intensity of college football and considered pro football to be low quality by comparison. The Giants did much to dispel that perception. In a 1930 game with Notre Dame, the franchise dispatched the well-respected college team easily. After the game, Notre Dame's distinguished head coach Knute Rockne told his players that the Giants were the "greatest football machine I ever saw."
Before The AFL-NFL Merger
During a 14-year period (from 1933 through 1946), the Giants continued to prove themselves as a formidable team, securing a spot in 8 NFL championship games. However, the following 10 years were characterized by lackluster performances. In 1956, the team began to rebuild and battle its way back to the top, playing in 5 NFL championship games through 1963. But, it was a short-lived boost and by 1964, the Giants entered another 14-year slump.
After The AFL-NFL Merger
In 1979, the Giants finally began to show signs of bursting out of their slump. That year, they signed a new quarterback named Phil Simms. In 1982, Bill Parcells took over the head coach duties. 4 years later, in 1986, Parcells led his team to victory in that year's Super Bowl. It was the Giants' first NFL championship in 32 years. The following 2 years were marred by a strike and a scandal involving star linebacker Lawrence Taylor. Despite the setbacks, the team returned to the Super Bowl in 1990 and walked away with another title.
The franchise competed in the 2001 Super Bowl but was defeated by the Baltimore Ravens, resulting in the head coach of the Giants (Jim Fassel) being asked to step down. After a series of management changes and player drafts, the Giants won the 2007 Super Bowl in a stunning upset over the favored New England Patriots.
